Everyday Warrior

Artist Statement

This painting is about how strong and brave young girls are in their everyday lives. It shows how we work hard to deal with problems, face challenges, and try to follow our dreams, even when things get tough.

The sharp lines and shapes are like the strength and courage we need to keep going, while the softer parts show that we can still be kind and caring. The bright red circle stands for our energy and passion, and the gold shapes remind me that every girl is valuable and special, even if people don’t always notice it.

The black and white colors show the ups and downs we go through—happy and hard moments, winning and losing. The turquoise part is a symbol of hope and being unique, and it shows how being creative can help us feel strong and happy.

I made this to celebrate how girls are like warriors—not with swords, but in how we try our best in school, at home, and in our communities. We are brave and strong, even when no one sees it, and this painting is my way of saying how proud I am of that.
