Spaced Out

I love being around people—it makes me happy and full of energy. But sometimes, my mind starts to wander, and I feel like I’m in a whole other world of imagination that is magical where my creative energy flows through. That’s what I wanted to show in Spaced Out.

The eye in the painting is like me when I’m daydreaming—wide open, looking far away, thinking about things nobody else can see. The bright, colorful strokes around the eye represent my excitement and curiosity about the people and world around me, and beyond. The dark background with green sparkles feels like space—huge, mysterious, and endless, kind of like all the ideas and dreams flowing in my head.

Even though I love being with my friends and family, I think it’s fun and important to have moments where I can let my imagination take me to new places.
